The Mr. Gay USofA Contest, presented by USofA Pageants LLC and Craig Henderson is the largest Male Contest in the country.

Mr. Gay USofA was started in 2008 and has over 30 local, state and regional contests that men from all over the country compete in.  Mr. Gay USofA offers Integrity, Excellence, Competition and Recognition for the Male Leads in our entertainment community. 

Contestants must qualify through state or regional contests to eventually compete for Mr. Gay USofA. Contestants compete in Interview, Club Wear and Talent.  Mr. Gay USofA is a talent-based contest with talent being worth 50%, the interview worth 25% and the clubwear is worth 25% of their score.

This year Mr. Gay USofA 2019 was held in Dallas TX and was won by Las Vegas Local Roman Tajoure. Roman qualified for the contest in May by capturing the title of Mr. Gay Sin City Supreme. Competing against 25 other contestants from across the country; over the course of 3 days, this was Roman’s 3rd attempt and he came out victorious.

Roman is a 31-year-old dancer / choreographer and event host here in Las Vegas. He has been involved in pageantry since 2011, getting his start at Flex Nightclub in a show called the Grand Tea Room hosted by Desarae Pendavis. Since then he has held numerous titles in Las Vegas, choreographed / danced with various entertainers and toured all over the U.S. Roman’s Dance Training comes from Culture Shock Las Vegas, a non-profit dance organization in Las Vegas that focuses on giving back to the community.

When Roman isn’t dancing, he and his husband Nakia stay busy hosting events for the  LGBTQIA+  community. 

They are the host of numerous events including Sin City Inferno Weekend, Monthly Taco Tuesdays and Code Red Fashion Show an event where they raise money every year for the Aids Walk. Roman said one of his goals as Mr. Gay USofA is to expose the talent within the LGBTQIA+ community. His dream is to start a Talent agency full of Dancers, singers, actors, photographers, and artists of all types.
