Please join us on October 1, 2018 at the LV Community Healing Garden to dedicate the new permanent Remembrance Wall and angel wing sculpture. The ceremony will begin at 6:30pm. We invite attendees to stay or return at 10:00pm for a vigil remembering the 58 victims lost that night.

Please bring a single flower or flowers to contribute to our flower tree which symbolizes the diversity of Las Vegas growing together in strength and unity. We also encourage you to paint rocks and bring those to contribute to the ever growing collection found in the garden. As always mementos to place at the trees and on the new wall are always welcome.

Shea Freedom performs at 8pm at First Friday a monthly art festival located in Downtown Las Vegas Arts District celebrating the work of artists, musicians, culinary food vendors.

Shea Freedom Bio:

In song or as a speaker, you can find Freedom advocating for foster youth, human rights and environmental issues.

Born in Los Angeles Freedom was raised in California’s foster care system where he was subject to 28 different placements. Like 68% of foster youth, Freedom emancipated into homelessness. No doubt the early instability would prepare him for the fast paced life on the road. He has found his home on stages across the nation. Freedom has traveled solo all over the United States via thumb and motorcycle, collecting stories from the back of shrimp boats in the Gulf of Mexico to the festivals upon the shores of Hawaii. Freedom brought the love on tour in 2016 opening for world renowned artist Trevor Hall in Arizona & California.

As a member of the LGBTQ community Freedom was awarded the 2016 Rising Star Award by Black Trans Men Inc and has shared the stage with renowned LGBTQ artist Goddess & She who were featured on the Showtime hit series "The L Word." In 2015 Freedom was invited by sisters Chloe & Leah of Rising Appalachia to tour in AZ, CA and CO. You can find Freedom out sharing songs and workshops at festivals alongside artist such as, Nahko & Medicine For The People, Earth Guardians, Dustin Thomas, Mike Love and many more influential artist.

Same-sex marriage has been legally recognized in the U.S. state of Nevada since October 9, 2014, when a federal district court judge issued an injunction against Nevada's enforcement of its ban on same-sex marriage, acting on order from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. A unanimous three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit had ruled two days earlier that the state's ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional.

NCOD was founded in 1988 by Robert Eichberg and Jean O'Leary. Eichberg, who died in 1995 of complications from AIDS, was a psychologist from New Mexico and founder of the personal growth workshop, The Experience. O'Leary was an openly lesbian political leader and long-time activist from New York, and was at the time the head of the National Gay Rights Advocates in Los Angeles. LGBT activists, including Eichberg and O'Leary, did not want to respond defensively to anti-LGBT action because they believed it would be predictable. This caused them to found NCOD in order to maintain positivity and celebrate coming out.

Erick Silva's mother has requested that we invite the LGBTQ community to come and celebrate the life of Erick Silva and to honor the other 57 lives lost at the Las Vegas shooting.

The event will be at Le Caprie at 3977 Vegas Valley Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89121
